I understand that participation in classes, rehearsals, and performances at Alabama Repertory Theatre Company involves physical activity that may result in injury. I affirm that my child is in good physical condition and capable of participating. I acknowledge and accept all risks associated with theatre and dance training and voluntarily assume full responsibility for any personal injury or medical condition that may arise as a result of participation.
I agree to release and hold harmless Alabama Repertory Theatre Company, its instructors, staff, and volunteers from any and all claims, liabilities, or demands arising out of or related to participation in any and all studio activities. This includes any claims of negligence or liability for injuries, accidents, or illnesses sustained while at the studio or while participating in any related event or function. I understand that Alabama Repertory Theatre Company does not carry medical insurance for students and that it is my responsibility to provide such coverage if desired.
I further acknowledge that it is my responsibility to inform Alabama Repertory Theatre Company of any medical conditions, allergies, or restrictions related to my child’s participation. I authorize the staff to seek medical care or treatment in an emergency situation, if I am unable to be reached.
At Alabama Repertory Theatre, the safety and well-being of our students is a top priority. This policy outlines how our staff responds to illness or injury during any class, rehearsal, performance, or event. All students must have current emergency contact and health-related information on file, provided during registration.
In the event of a medical emergency, staff will respond calmly and appropriately to assess the situation and ensure the student’s safety. Emergency services (911) will be contacted immediately for any serious or life-threatening incident. The student will not be moved unless absolutely necessary to prevent further harm. Once the situation is under control or help is on the way, the parent or guardian will be contacted using the information provided at registration.
Staff may provide limited care for minor injuries—such as offering an ice pack or basic assistance—to the extent they feel comfortable. Alabama Repertory Theatre staff is not CPR or AED certified, and emergency medical care will be handled by professionals if needed. All medical incidents are documented within 24 hours and stored confidentially.
By checking the box on the registration form, I confirm that I have read and understood this Medical Emergency Policy. I authorize Alabama Repertory Theatre Company to act according to this policy in the event of an emergency involving my child. I also acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with physical activity, including the possibility of injury, and agree that participation is voluntary.

Alabama Repertory Theatre Company is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and uplifting environment for all students, families, and staff. By entering our facility or participating in any program, class, event, competition, or performance in which performers represent Alabama Repertory Theatre Company, all individuals agree to uphold this Code of Conduct.
Smoking, vaping, alcohol, and drug use are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property we lease and operate in, including the building, outdoor walkways, and parking areas. These same standards apply at all off-site events and activities where Alabama Repertory Theatre Company is being represented.
We do not tolerate yelling at children, the use of threatening or aggressive language, or any form of physical discipline, including striking or hitting. Bullying, teasing, or exclusion of any kind — whether verbal, physical, or social — is strictly prohibited. All students and families are expected to treat one another with kindness, encouragement, and respect.
Any behavior that endangers the emotional or physical safety of others or creates a hostile environment may result in immediate removal from the premises or event, and may lead to dismissal from our program. We appreciate your support in fostering a positive, inclusive, and family-centered studio culture where every student can thrive.
Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes. Make-up classes are not provided for missed absences. In some cases, a private lesson may be arranged to cover missed material, depending on instructor availability, but this is not guaranteed and may require an additional fee.
In the event of inclement weather, emergency closures, or unforeseen interruptions, Alabama Repertory Theatre will notify families via social media groups. We generally follow the Gadsden City School System and Etowah County School System closure schedule. Make-up opportunities may occasionally be offered, but no refunds will be issued for missed classes due to weather or emergency closures.
All studio communication should go through official channels such as email, text, or direct contact with the directors. For any questions or concerns, families are encouraged to reach out to the Director directly.
