Pre-Audition Video Submission

Thank you for your interest in joining Bama Rep Elite for our 2026-2027 season!

Our Elite Company is designed for dedicated performers who are passionate about musical theatre, committed to personal growth, and excited to perform both on stage and in competition.

The first step in the audition process is submitting a Pre-Audition Video.

Submission Deadline: Thursday, August 6, 2026

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be female

• Be between the ages of 14–19

• Be available for weekly rehearsals and performances

• Be willing to participate in both the public production of SIX: Teen Edition and the AYTE Competition in February

Video Requirements

Please submit one video that includes the following sections:

🎵 1. Vocal Performance

Prepare approximately 60–90 seconds of a musical theatre song that best showcases your voice.

Please do not sing a song from SIX: Teen Edition.

Choose music that highlights:

• Vocal range

• Technique

• Storytelling

• Personality

You may sing with a piano accompaniment, karaoke track, or instrumental recording.

🎭 2. Acting Performance

Prepare a 30–60 second memorized monologue.

Your monologue should demonstrate:

• Character choices

• Emotional connection

• Clear diction

• Confidence

Choose material that is age-appropriate and allows your personality and acting ability to shine.

💬 3. Tell Us About Yourself

Please answer the following question on camera:

"Why do you want to be a member of Bama Rep Elite?"

We'd love to hear about:

• Your theatre experience

• Your goals as a performer

• What excites you about this opportunity

• Why you believe you'd be a great addition to our company

There are no right or wrong answers—we simply want to get to know you!

Video Tips

Please help us see your very best work by following these guidelines:

✔ Record in a quiet location.

✔ Use good lighting so we can clearly see your face.

✔ Position your camera horizontally (landscape orientation).

✔ Make sure your entire face and upper body are visible.

✔ Ensure your audio is clear and easy to hear.

✔ Dress neatly and professionally.

✔ Introduce yourself at the beginning of your video.

What's Next?

Selected applicants will be invited to an in-person callback audition on August 13th at 6pm. 

During callbacks, students will:

• Learn choreography from SIX: Teen Edition

• Sing selections from the show

• Read scenes with fellow cast members

Following callbacks, roles will be assigned and the 2026-2027 Bama Rep Elite Company cast will be announced.
