The Fall Academy is now open for registration. Classes take place at our studio at 329 5th Ave NW, Attalla, AL 35954 (Downtown). We offer opportunities to experience the many aspects of theatre from singing, dancing, acting, costuming, scenic design, and directing while building teamwork and creating friendships. These classes are designed for a range of experience levels. We hope your student can join the fun this season!

Broadway Kids

Ages 8-11

Mondays, 4:15-5:15pm

August 14 - November 27

Class Fee: $100 ($80 plus $20 Registration Fee)

Students will learn the process from audition to performance, and develop rehearsal techniques and professional theatre etiquette. Instruction will include developing skills in singing, dancing, and acting. Your child will learn to develop their speech, how to use eye contact, body language and the joy of storytelling using their body and their voice. Confidence and communication will grow as they work within an ensemble to create a magical world of their own

Creative Drama

Ages 5-7

Tuesdays, 5:30-6:15pm

August 15 - November 28

Class Fee: $70 ($50 plus $20 Registration Fee)

This class is a fun-filled creative play experience, purposely designed for our youngest actors! Classes will consist of singing, dancing, games, crafts, and acting activities. Lessons for this age group concentrate on creative performance skills in addition to exploration of characters. These classes can accommodate a variety of skill levels and students do not need previous drama experience to succeed and enjoy this experience. 

Beginning Theatre

Ages 8-15

Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30pm

August 15 - November 28

Class Fee: $100 ($80 plus $20 Registration Fee)

Through fun-filled activities, improv games, and scene work, students will learn the fundamental techniques that will ignite their passion for the stage. Our experienced instructors will guide students in developing essential acting skills such as voice projection, character creation, and emotional expression. Students will learn about the performance elements for theatre including dance, acting, and singing. All students will participate in an short production at the end of the semester.

Junior Theatre

Ages 12-15

Mondays, 5:15-6:15pm

August 14 - November 27

Class Fee: $100 ($80 plus $20 Registration Fee)

This class is designed for young actors between the ages of 12 and 15 who have already gained some experience and basic knowledge in the world of theatre. Whether they have taken a beginner-level class, have participated in school productions, or been involved with our program previously, this course will help you take your theatrical skills to the next level. 

Do we need anything for class?

Nope! Students should come comfortably prepared for movement. We might paint or draw, so please have students dressed for crafting too. We do ask that younger students are potty trained before attending class. For students still learning to read, our instructors are happy to assist!
