Musical Theatre 101

DIARY OF A WIMPY KID THE MUSICAL

Do you randomly burst into song? Do you try to learn dances from your favorite shows? Do you find yourself transported by the magic of theatre? Then join us for a session full of music, movement, acting, and more! Through stories, visual arts, and beginner music lessons, students learn how to create the magic of musical theatre in their classroom. Students use their actor’s tools of body, voice, mind, and imagination to explore characters, songs, and scenes from popular musicals. Classwork culminates in a final sharing for families on the last day of class. Put on your dancing shoes, warm up your singing voice, and get ready to explore the magic of musical theatre with us!

Auditions January 26th and 27th (Please check back for updates in case of ice and snow)

Mondays and Tuesdays, 6-7pm

For auditions, we ask that students arrive with a song prepared to sing. Any song that they are comfortable singing will be fine. We want students to feel confident and relaxed at our auditions!

Rehearsals begin February 9th

Performance is scheduled for April 11th

Ages 5-17

$100 participation fee - Includes a cast Tshirt and script
